Death toll in Philippine storm rises to 100
Rescuers in the Philippines were diving into a lake and scouring isolated villages on Sunday to locate dozens of missing people as the death toll from Tropical Storm Trami hit 100.
Trami, which rammed into the Philippines on Oct. 24, was among the deadliest storms to hit the Southeast Asian country this year.

Philippines storm death toll jumps to near 100
The death toll from a storm that battered the Philippines has jumped to 98, the national disaster agency said Monday, with little hope of finding survivors in the worst-hit areas.
Just over half of the fatalities were from a series of flash floods and landslides unleashed by Tropical Storm Nalgae, which destroyed villages on the southern island of Mindanao on Friday.

The national disaster agency said Monday the Aug. 5 quake killed 436 people, most of whom died in collapsing buildings.
