Liviu Dragnea resigns from SocDem leadership, decision of party council pending
Former minister Liviu Dragnea, sentenced to a one-year suspended prison term on Friday, has submitted on Monday his resignation from the executive chairmanship of the ruling Social Democrat Party (PSD). He had already resigned from the ministry of administration on Friday; a decision on his retirement from the party leadership will be taken by the PSD National Executive Council on Wednesday.
PSD's Dragnea resigns as minister, party leader
Executive Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (PSD) Liviu Dragnea on Friday announced having resigned his office as Minister of Public Administration and Regional Development, adding that on Monday he will also tender his resignation as PSD executive chairman.
