Bulgaria’s Tourism Minister Insists on 50% Increase in Finances for Advertising
The tourism industry and the Ministry of Tourism insist on increasing the finances for promoting tourism next year, Bulgaria's Minister of Tourism Nikolina Angelkova said on July 22 after the meeting of the National Tourism Council in the Golden Sands Resort near Varna, reports BNT.
National Tourism Council Will Meet in "Golden Sands"
Employers' organizations also participate in the council, NOVA TV reported.
The National Tourism Council will meet in the Golden Sands Resort. The meeting will be opened by Minister of Tourism Nikolina Angelkova. The Council should assist in shaping and implementing policies in the sector.

Bulgarian tourism urgently needs a minimum of BGN 10 million for national advertising on international markets. This was announced by the Executive Director of the National Tourist Board Polina Karastoyanova.

We expect this summer to have growth o about 5% compared to last year's visits in June-September and foreign tourists to more than 5.5 million. In the summer of 2017 total foreign tourists reached 5.3 million, and then recorded an increase of 5.7%.
