Netherlands Institute in Athens

The Netherlands baroque music week, organized by the Netherlands Institute in Athens and the Athens Conservatory, features three events dedicated to the popular 17th and 18th century genre.

The Netherlands Institute in Athens, the Athens Ethnographic Film Festival, the Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology at VU Amsterdam, in cooperation with the Ethnographic Laboratory of Panteion University, are organizing an intensive summer school on visual anthropology in collaboration with Dutch and Greek universities for the third year in a row.

Maria Ikonomopoulou's photographic project "Such a Tender Nothingness" is going on display at the Netherlands Institute in Athens from December 2 to 17. The project consists of 155 photographs that the artist has uploaded on Facebook over the last few years. The images explore life in Rotterdam and Athens, the two cities Ikonomopoulou divides her time between.
