Event discusses Greece’s demographics problem

"Demographics is perhaps the most important issue the country is facing," admitted the board president of the Citizens' Movement for an Open Society and former head of the permanent delegation of the European Commission in Greece, Panos Karvounis, at an event organized in Athens by the diaNEOsis think tank and the Citizens' Movement.

Antonijevi is the director of the Foundation for Open Society, which organizes government and opposition talks on election conditions. So far, in three rounds, at the FPS roundtables, the authorities and the oppostion discussed about media and financing campaigns, and on the 5th and 9th of September there will be a voters' list and voting rights of citizens.

Pristina's bid to become EU candidate "could be rejected"

RTK in Serbian is reporting that Nataliya Apostolova said this during a conference organized by the Kosovo Foundation for Open Society (KFOS).

"I'm afraid that member countries may reject the application. What counts in this process is the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia and fight against organized crime and corruption", Apostolova said.

George Soros Donated USD 18 Billion to Open Society Foundations

The famous Hungarian-American investor and business magnate, George Soros, donated much of his wealth to his foundation, founded in 1984 to support democracy, human rights and freedom of the press, reports BNT. 

Open Society received USD 18 billion from 87-year-old Soros, a big donor to the Democratic Party in the United States, a spokeswoman for the Foundation told AFP.
