President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has urged the Islamic world that the only way to prevent Israeli expansionism and bring an end to the massacres against Muslims in Palestine and Lebanon is to stand united and leave internal disputes behind.

Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on Sept. 18 participated in a high-level meeting of a delegation jointly designed by the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Arab League to address the Gaza war.

The delegation dubbed the "contact group" comprises foreign ministers from Türkiye, Palestine, Egypt, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Indonesia and Nigeria.

The Gaza Contact Group by the two main Islamic organizations will hold another round of meetings in Jordan on Sept. 18 to give a boost to ceasefire talks between Israel and Hamas, the Turkish diplomatic sources have said.

Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will attend a key meeting of the Gaza Contact Group, established by two main Islamic organizations, in Madrid, where efforts for giving an end to the Israeli offensive through a permanent agreement and recognition of Palestine as a full state will be discussed.

The Contact Group, established by the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Arab League, will travel to Brussels to hold talks with the European Union on the need for a permanent ceasefire in the Israeli-Hamas war and increasing humanitarian assistance to the Palestinians stranded in the enclave.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has appointed ambassadors to five countries, including regional heavyweight Saudi Arabia.

The Antalya Diplomacy Forum, which will hold its third event since its foundation, will focus on the ongoing crisis in Gaza, where the Israeli security forces are committing massacres of civilians that left more than 28,000 people already dead.

The silence and support of the international community, especially the West, for the continued massacres by Israeli forces in Gaza poses risks to world security, Türkiye's top diplomat has urged.

The foreign ministers of seven prominent regional countries, including Turkish top diplomat Hakan Fidan, will visit the United States and Canada to urge them for an immediate ceasefire and uninterrupted flow of humanitarian aid into Gaza amid the intensified Israeli offensive against Hamas that has already killed more than 16,000 civilians in the enclave.
