Montenegro Minister Sacked for Querying Srebrenica Genocide Rulings

His dismissal was supported by the votes of 43 opposition MPs and ruling Black on White coalition MPs. The other two ruling majority blocs, For the Future of Montenegro and Peace is Our Nation, did not support his dismissal.

Chaos in Montenegro: Krivokapic left the session

Krivokapic told reporters in the hall of the Parliament of Montenegro, after he left the session at which his initiative for the removal of the Minister of Justice, Human and Minority Rights, Vladimir Leposavic, was discussed due to his views on Srebrenica.
He added that the procedure is clear: "You can ask for trust in the Government or you can go to new elections", RTCG reports.

"There are public indications that the Montenegrin authorities supported Bosnian Serb forces, despite the former Federal Republic of Yugoslavia's embargo on the Bosnian Serb authorities," Medojevic said.

"The embassy is concerned with comments casting doubt about what occurred in Srebrenica in 1995. We look for clarity and hope the government will unequivocally condemn the massacre and call it what it was - genocide," the US embassy said in a post on Twitter.

"We have to face the past and pay homage to the victims. That is the task of Montenegro, which should continue the course that makes it a factor of stability in the region," Ibrahimovic told media.

The prosecution had previously assigned the same measure to another MP of Democratic Front (DF), Milun Zogovic.
DNP leader Milan Knezevic is currently at the hearing, Podgorica based "Vijesti" reported. Mandic and Knezevic were arrested last night on suspicion of committing criminal offense of preventing an official from performing his official duties.
