Pazardzhik police

Two people lost their lives, and another was injured in a traffic accident near Panagyurishte on Wednesday evening. The incident occurred on the road leading to the Panagyurishte colonies.

A Turkish family of five was injured in a crash on the Trakia highway near Pazardzhik early this morning. The accident occurred around 6:30 a.m. at the 92nd kilometer of the highway, heading towards Sofia.

A Serbian trafficker transporting 10 illegal migrants was captured this morning after trying to escape from a police patrol near Panagyurishte, announced Pazardzhik police spokesman Miroslav Stoyanov.

While trying to be detained, he rammed their patrol car.

The municipal councilor in Velingrad, Ekaterina Kaferinova, was killed last night in her home. The police are expected to give official information about her murder.

The report was made shortly before 9:00 p.m. on Sunday. The suspect is a man who himself reported the murder to 112. At the moment, there is no evidence that the victim received threats.

Today at about 11.40 am on the main street in the village of Bratanitsa in Pazardzhik, an employee of the Ministry of Interior with an official car hit an 8-year-old girl on a crossroad, BNR reported.

According to witnesses, the child suddenly jumped on the road.

Teams of local police and an ambulance were sent to the scene.

In the period between 2007 and 2014, over 5,000 deals connected to selling of municipal properties and assets at prices lower than the market ones have been contracted in Pazardzhik.

The statement was made by municipal consul Rumen Petkov, representative of the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) in an interview for bTV Thursday.

The State Agency for National Security (DANS) is carrying out an operation in the Roma quarter of Pazardzhik with the support of the Interior Ministry and under the supervision of the prosecution.
