Fourteen lawyers of imprisoned hunger-striking educators Nuriye Gülmen and Semih Özakça were arrested by a court order on Sept. 20, broadcaster CNN Türk reported on Sept. 21.

Seventeen lawyers of two imprisoned hunger-striking educators have been detained two days before the first hearing of their case, in which the educators are accused of being members of a terrorist organization. 

Berkin Elvan, a young boy who was shot with a tear gas canister during the Gezi Park incidents in 2013 and died some nine months later, was commemorated on March 11, the second anniversary of his death. Along with Elvan's parents, the relatives of other Gezi victims Ali ?smail Korkmaz, Ahmet Atakan and Abdullah Cömert also attended the commemoration in Istanbul.
