NATO chief hopeful for Sweden's inclusion in the alliance
NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg says he has told President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan that "the time has come" to let Sweden become a member of the military alliance.
Türkiye and Hungary are the only NATO countries that have not yet formally approved Sweden's accession bid.

The deal Türkiye, Sweden and Finland agreed in Madrid is just the beginning of the two Nordic states' process to join NATO, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has said, underlining that Ankara will closely follow the implementation of the promises outlined in the document in regard to the intensified fight against terror.
