Two specialized sergeants were killed on Oct. 1 in an outlawed Kurdistan Workers? Party (PKK) attack in the Silvan district of the southeastern Diyarbak?r province.

Over 30 members of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers? Party (PKK) have been killed in cross-border airstrikes, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an said during an 11th gathering with a large group of muhtars at the presidential palace.

Speaking in a televised interview on Sept. 22, Erdo?an said the PKK was backing the Peoples? Democratic Party (HDP).

One assailant was killed and one was wounded on Sept. 15 during clashes between security forces and members of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers? Party (PKK) in various neighborhoods in the eastern province of Van, the local governor?s office has stated.

Only two days after Turkey lost 16 of its soldiers in a heinous attack by the outlawed Kurdistan Workers? Party (PKK) in Da?l?ca in southeastern Hakkari province, 14 police officers were massacred in an explosion on Sept. 8 in eastern I?d?r, on the border with Azerbaijan?s Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic.

Militants opened fired with long-barreled rifles around 3:45 p.m., while the police officers were driving down a road to the historic village of Hasankeyf.
