Unknown arsonists damage facade of private TV station ART
Unknown assailants used a homemade explosive device comprising gas canisters to cause damage to the entrance of a building housing private television channel ART in the Athens neighborhood of Kallithea in the early hours of Monday.
The device detonated shortly after 2 a.m., causing minor damage and no injuries, police said.

Bribery charges against LAOS chief unlikely
It seem unlikely that the leader of the ultranationalist Popular Orthodox Rally (LAOS) party, Giorgos Karatzaferis, will face bribery charges after it was revealed that two middlemen in an arms deal paid 1.6 million euros to his offshore company, sources have told Kathimerini.

Popular Orthodox Rally (LAOS) leader Giorgos Karatzaferis said on Monday that he has no knowledge of payments of 1.65 million euros allegedly made into offshore companies linked to the right-wing politician and family members.
Ex-LAOS MP Plevris takes parliamentary seat left vacant by EU commissioner Avramopoulos
New Democracy politician Thanasis Plevris will take the place of outgoing Dimitris Avramopoulos in Parliament.
Avramopoulos gave up his seat on Monday as he left to take up the role of Home Affairs and Migration commissioner in Brussels.
Attack on LAOS offices in Patissia
Police are investigating after an attack at the offices of Popular Orthodox Rally (LAOS) party in the central Athens neighborhood of Patissia.
No one was injured in the incident which occurred at 2.30 a.m.
Police said the assailants broke the front windows and threw paint inside the building before leaving the site.
