Pro-Fetullah Terror Organization

Ankara police on Nov. 6 searched offices of business groups working under the Turkish Confederation of Businessmen and Industrialists (TUSKON), known to have close links to the movement of U.S.-based Islamic scholar Fethullah Gülen.

Four of the seven people detained earlier this week in a police operation against a purported Gülen-linked ?terrorist organization? were released early on Sept. 18. The three other high-profile suspects were released on Sept. 17, including Turkish Industry and Business Association (TÜS?AD) Executive Board Member and Boydak Holding CEO Memduh Boydak.

A chief police officer has said that a purported terrorist organization, which President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an and the Justice and Development Party (AKP) government have long called ?Pro-Fetullah Terror Organization,? commits violent acts in Turkey?s east and southeast, with its members working as insiders in the police and other state organizations.

The case into 28 people from Turkey's top science body and top telecommunications authority illegally wiretapping the encrypted phones of high-ranking state officials, including then-Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdo?an, will begin on July 13.
