Bulgaria's Supreme Judicial Council Set to Handpick EU Delegated Prosecutors
Bulgaria's Supreme Judicial Council on September 8 started the procedure for selection of European delegated prosecutors.
Within two days, the 22 candidates will present their motives to the Prosecutors' college. Six of them will be selected to join the team of European chief Prosecutor, Laura Kövesi.

The agreement with the Bulgarian Prosecutor's Office for the appointment of 10 delegated European prosecutors is still in force and the issue is not up for discussion, the EU's new Chief Prosecutor Laura Kövesi was quoted as saying Thursday by the Bulgarian justice ministry. Kövesi is set to speak to the press on Friday.
Bulgaria: SJC Prosecutors’ College to Send Extra Info about Candidates for EU Delegated Prosecutors
The Prosecutors' College of the Supreme Judicial Council Wednesday decided to send additional information to the European Public Prosecutor's Office (EPPO) about Bulgaria's candidates for European delegated prosecutors. The decision was prompted by a letter from European Chief Prosecutor Laura Kovesi requesting additional data on seven of the country's ten candidates.
Bulgaria’s Delegated EU Prosecutors Elected
The Prosecutors' College of the Supreme Judicial Council on Saturday elected ten European delegated prosecutors from Bulgaria. They will carry out investigations in Bulgaria on behalf of the new European Public Prosecutor's Office.
