Suicide bomber at political rally in Pakistan kills at least 44 people
A suicide bomber blew himself up at a political rally in a former stronghold of militants in northwest Pakistan bordering Afghanistan on Sunday, killing at least 44 people and wounding nearly 200 in an attack that a senior leader said was meant to weaken Pakistani Islamists.
110 PKK/KCK suspects nabbed in 21 provinces
A total of 126 PKK/KCK suspects have been caught in the Diyarbakır-based operations carried out in 20 other provinces for providing financial and propaganda support to the organization.
The operations came after the teams learned that the suspects provided personnel and legal support to the terrorist organization and carried out nearly 60 street protests.

63 irregular migrants held in central Turkey
A total of 63 irregular migrants were held in the Turkish capital Ankara, security sources said on July 31.

Police seize 670 kg of heroin in eastern Turkey
Turkish police seized 670 kilograms (about 1,477 pounds) of heroin in the eastern Van province over the last five days, the country's Interior Minister said on May 29.
Süleyman Soylu lauded the efforts of the provincial police and anti-narcotics teams, saying the seizures were a heavy blow to the illicit drug trade.

Over 7 kg of meth seized in anti-drug operation
Turkish police on March 20 seized nearly 8 kilograms (about 17 pounds) of methamphetamine from a truck in eastern Van province, the provincial police headquarters said in a statement.
The drugs were seized in Van's Edremit district after anti-drug teams stopped the vehicle and detained the driver in a sniffer dog-aided operation, the statement said.

Turkey nabs suspect over killing of Turkish diplomat in Erbil
Turkish security forces on Jan. 21 nabbed a suspect allegedly linked to an armed attack that killed a Turkish diplomat in northern Iraq last July.
He was arrested in a joint operation by the provincial police forces and the Turkish Intelligence Organization (MİT) in the southeastern border province of Şırnak as he attempted to cross to Turkey.
