This amendment increases the amount of the donation to 82 million euros, from the originally planned amount of 70 million euros.
Unemployment down 7.2% in September
The number of registered unemployed dropped to 776,326 in September, falling by 60,387 individuals or 7.2% relative to September 2023, and 67,216 individuals or 8% relative to August 2024, the Public Employment Service (DYPA) announced on Friday.

Deadline for the recruitment of 73 permanent teachers expires today
Today, Wednesday, September 18, at 11:59 p.m., the deadline for applications to fill, on a first-come, first-served basis, a total of 73 permanent teachers of University and Technological Education, for the Vocational Education and Training units of the Public Employment Service (PES).

Agreement to engage the Greek diaspora
Deputy Foreign Minister George Kotsiras and the head of the Public Employment Service (DYPA), Spiros Protopsaltis, signed a memorandum of cooperation aimed at engaging the Greek diaspora on Wednesday. According to an announcement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the memorandum seeks to inform Greeks living abroad about job opportunities in Greece.

“My House” Program: 58% of approved loans are for young couples
New couples are involved, at a rate of 58%, in the approved loans under the “My House” Program, according to data forwarded to Parliament by the Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance Nikos Papathanasis. 87% of the approved loans are for beneficiaries with an annual income of less than 24,000 euros.
DYPA: Over 40,000 people vacationed in August with social tourism vouchers
A total of 40,234 social tourism vouchers for 2024-2025 issued by the Public Employment Service (DYPA) were activated in tourist accommodations across the country in August, the second month of the program.
According to the announcement, vacations can be taken until June 30, 2025.
