4 civilians killed, 15 reported missing in massive PKK bombing in Diyarbak?r village

Four civilians were killed and 15 people were reportedly missing after a massive bombing by the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in a village in the southeastern province of Diyarbak?r late on May 12. 

The bombing, which also left 23 people wounded, was carried out after an argument between villagers and PKK militants, the Diyarbak?r Governor's Office said in a statement.

Police officer suspended after filming music video in curfew-imposed town

A police officer who filmed a music video in the southeastern province of Diyarbak?r's curfew-imposed Sur district was suspended on April 28. The police officer, whose identity was not disclosed, had posted a video on YouTube on April 26 praising the security officials killed in Sur, drawing a sharp rebuke from social media users. 

Evacuations continue in Sur in southeast Turkey amid security operations

A total of 43 people have been evacuated from various neighborhoods in the Sur district of southeastern Diyarbak?r province in the last 24 hours amid ongoing counterterror operations against outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants, state-run Anadolu Agency reported on March 3.

Six killed, including children, in PKK attack on police headquarters in southeastern Turkey

Six people, including children and one police officer, were killed late Jan. 13 when a car bomb exploded near a district police post in Turkey's southeastern province of Diyarbak?r, officials have said.

A five-year-old baby, a one-year-old baby and a five-year old child were among those killed in the attack.
