Liviu Pop: ILO could have foremost role if involved in political support

The role of the International Labour Organization (ILO) could be foremost if it became the core of political support and technical assistance that can be granted to member states, Minister Delegate for Social Dialogue Liviu Pop said on Monday, in the 323rd Session of the ILO Governing Body, taking place in Geneva.

Former ANI head Horia Georgescu, placed under preventive arrest

Magistrates from the High Court of Cassation and Justice (ICCJ) on Tuesday night decided to place the former head of the National Agency for Integrity (ANI), Horia Georgescu, currently investigated for abuse of office in the National Authority for Property Restitution (ANRP) case, under preventive arrest for 30 days.

IntMin Oprea: China has Romania's respect and friendship

Deputy Prime Minister, Interior Minister Gabriel Oprea on Tuesday said that the People's Republic of China has Romania's respect and friendship and voiced the conviction that the mandate of the new Chinese Ambassador in Bucharest, Xu Feihong, will further strengthen the friendship relation between the two states.
