Russia Mocks Albania's Backing For UK Over Spy Poisoning
Russia's embassy in Tirana on Thursday criticised Albania's Foreign Ministry for issuing a statement directly blaming Russia for the chemical attack on a former Russian spy, Sergei Skripal, in Salisbury, England, on March 4.
Russia, Bosnian Serbs, Scorn 'Paramilitary Unit' Claims
The presidency of Bosnian Serb's entity Republika Srpska and Russia's embassy to Bosnia in separate statements on Saturday dismissed as "dangerous" reports that Bosnian Serb paramilitary units are being formed under the joint auspices of the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, and of Moscow.
Russian ambassador to Sudan found dead
Russia's ambassador to Sudan, veteran diplomat Mirgayas Shirinsky, was found dead in the swimming pool at his Khartoum home on Aug. 23, Sudanese and Russian officials said.
"The Russian ambassador died this evening at his Khartoum residence," the Sudanese foreign ministry said in a statement, without giving a cause of death.

Croatia: Vandals damage monument to world's first man in space
BELGRADE - Unidentified persons have damaged a monument to the world's first man in space Yuri Gagarin in the Croatian capital of Zagreb, Head of the Consular Department of Russia's Embassy to Croatia Vladimir Polyanin told TASS on Wednesday.
"The Gagarin monument has been vandalized: the pedestal marble has been scorched and the inscription has been damaged," Polyanin said.
US Expels 35 Russian Diplomats
The US has expelled 35 Russian diplomats in retaliation to the cyber attacks Washington claims were aimed at influencing the presidential election.
The diplomats at Russia's Embassy to Washington have been given 72 hours to leave after being declared "persona non grata."
The latest wave of sanctions includes entities and individuals in the Russian intelligence.
