Lavrov: We were friends with the Greeks but they submitted to American demands
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov expressed his dissatisfaction with the position Greece has taken in relation to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, through the Russian embassy in Athens.

Embassy reacts to US envoy's Russia remarks
The Russian Embassy in Athens on Thursday reacted to comments by US Ambassador Geoffrey Pyatt who said that problems in bilateral relations between NATO allies Greece and Turkey would benefit Moscow.
"The comments made by the American ambassador to Athens… are nonsense," the Russian Embassy tweeted in Greek.

Greek High Court blocks extradition of Vinnik
The Greek Council of State has temporarily blocked the extradition of Bitcoin wizard and Russian national Alexander Vinnik.
France, Russia, and the United States were vying to have Vinnik handed over to them.
Vinnik wants to be handed over to Russia and the Russian Embassy in Athens made extensive efforts to achieve its goal.

The Russian Embassy in Athens on Friday expressed regret at a decision by Greek judicial authorities to extradite bitcoin laundering suspect Alexander Vinnik to France ahead of Russia.
Russia denies meddling

Russian Embassy says US meddling in Greece’s affairs
The Russian Embassy in Athens suggested Thursday that Washington was meddling in Greece's domestic affairs, pointing to the recent visit by US Senator Robert Menendez, who referred to Greek-Turkish relations and slammed Ankara's intention to purchase the Russian S-400 weapon system.
190 years of Greek-Russian diplomatic ties marked in Moscow
An exhibition of archival material concerning the foreign policy of the Russian Empire was inaugurated on Wednesday in Moscow by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Greek Ambassador Andreas Fryganas on the occasion of the 190th anniversary of the establishment of Greek-Russian diplomatic ties.
The exhibition is being hosted by the Russian Foreign Ministry.
