The Finnish team is the new Olympic men's ice hockey champion in the Beijing Olympics 2022. The team won the trophy for the first time in its history after dethroning the current holder of the title, the Russian Olympic Committee.

Finland is also rejoicing over the bronze medal in women's ice hockey won a few days ago.

The women's teams of Canada and the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) played their match from the Beijing Olympics with medical masks under their hockey helmets. And during the match, there were contradictory events that shifted the focus from the game.

The North Americans won 6-1, which is not surprising, as the difference in classes between the two teams is still quite large.

Excellent Evelina Nikolova won a bronze medal in the category up to 57 kg in freestyle wrestling, defeating in the small final Valeria Koblova from the Russian Olympic Committee with 5: 0 points.

Turkey will play against South Korea in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics women's volleyball quarterfinals on Aug. 4.

Turkey overcame the 2-0 deficit, but their efforts were not enough to complete the comeback. The U.S. sealed the win with the sets of 25-19, 25-20, 17-25, 20-25 and 15-12.

The president of the Russian Olympic Committee, Alexander Zhukov, said local athletes are planning to appeal to the Sports Court of Arbitration (CAC) for the punishment imposed by the International Olympic Committee, bTV said.

The IOC has banned the participation of Russian flag at the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang for systematic violation of anti-doping rules.
