Insurer Sava reports lower half-year profit on flat revenue
Ljubljana – The insurance group Sava saw its half-year net profit reduced by a third year-on-year to EUR 28.9 million as operating revenue remained level at EUR 364.2 million. The company said the drop was mainly due the frequency of vehicle insurance claims returning to pre-pandemic levels.
Delo says Sava sale scare is “a storm in a teacup”
Ljubljana – Delo says in Saturday’s front-page commentary that the scare related to the York fund potentially selling its 47% stake in the tourism company Sava to Hungarians was “a storm in a teacup”, as the state will most likely exercise its pre-emptive right to the stake.

Bosnia Probes Missing Flood Prevention Funds
The police chief in Bosnia's Federation entity, Dragan Lukac, said an investigation would be launched to determine whether money set aside for preventing flood damage had been spent illegally.
“One must not stay deaf or mute,” he said on Monday. “Someone has to be held responsible and if we determine that a crime occurred, together with the prosecutors we will file criminal charges.”
