Turkey suspends five prison staff after jailed Gülenist suspect appeared in court wearing 'hero' t-shirt

Five prison personnel have been suspended from their jobs after a jailed suspect in a case into the Fethullahist Terrorist Organization (FETÖ) appeared in court wearing a t-shirt that had "hero" written on it.

HDP co-chair called to testify over terror charges

The co-chair of the opposition Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) has been called to testify on charges of "being a member of an armed terrorist organization." 

HDP co-leader Selahattin Demirtaş was called to testify as a part of the probe launched by Chief Public Prosecutor's Office in the southeastern province of Diyarbakır. 

Subpoenas issued for eight HDP lawmakers

Subpoenas were issued for eight lawmakers from the opposition Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) over the Kurdish Communities Union (KCK) case in the southeastern province of Diyarbakır on Sept. 5. HDP group deputy chairman Çağlar Demirel was among the ones that a subpoena was issued for by the Diyarbakır Second Heavy Penal Court, Anadolu Agency reported.
