PRISTINA - The Kosovo government said Tuesday that the Mining, Metallurgical and Chemical Combine Trepca was "Kosovo's property" and that any attempt to create confusion that it was allegedly given up was malicious.

PRISTINA - The Kosovo assembly has passed a bill amending the law on reorganising certain public enterprises and introducing changes to their property - however, the bill does not include the Mining, Metallurgical and Chemical Combine Trepca.

Sixty-four assembly members voted for the bill late Monday, four voted against, while two abstained.

BELGRADE - Serbia's Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said Monday that the issue of property in Kosovo-Metohija (KiM) should be opened as soon as possible so Serbia would not end up having its property taken away from it "overnight."

Government "will not allow Trepca to be taken"

BELGRADE -- The government "will not accept" a unilateral decision of Pristina to take over the ownership of the Mining, Metallurgical and Chemical Combine Trepca.

BELGRADE - The Serbian government will not accept the unilateral decision of the Kosovo government to take over the ownership of the Mining, Metallurgical and Chemical Combine Trepca, because the Republic of Serbia Development Fund owns a majority stake in the mines, Director of the Serbian government's Office for Kosovo-Metohija (KiM) Marko Djuric said Sunday.

BELGRADE - The Serbian government decided on Saturday to provide RSD 1 billion as help in the rebuilding of the economy in the areas hit by the recent floods, and the money will be distributed through a programme of the Republic of Serbia Development Fund.
