Serbia’s Humanitarian Law Centre

Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj presented an award to the founder of Serbia’s Humanitarian Law Centre, Natasa Kandic, for her role in uncovering the truth about victims killed during the Kosovo war.

Two US Congressmen nominated human rights campaigner Natasa Kandic and Serbia’s Humanitarian Law Centre, which documents violations committed during the Yugoslav wars, for the prestigious prize.

Serbia’s Humanitarian Law Centre filed a criminal complaint against Yugoslav People’s Army troops and Serb Territorial Defence fighters for allegedly killing 48 Croatian civilians in the villages of Skabrnja and Nadin in 1991.

Serbia’s Humanitarian Law Centre accused two hospitals operated by the army of delaying war crime trials by certifying that the defendants cannot attend hearings because of health concerns.
