Gasic in Newport, invitation confirms partnership

NEWPORT - Serbian Defense Minister Bratislav Gasic, who is taking part in the meeting of NATO defense ministers with counterparts from 24 partner countries within the NATO Wales Summit, has said that the ministry is taking an active part in the Partnership for Peace program and building trust with partner countries and NATO member states.

Defense Minister, Tunisian Ambassador discuss cooperation

BELGRADE - Serbian Defense Minister Bratislav Gasic met with Tunisian Ambassador to Serbia Majid Hamlaoui on Wednesday to discuss the promotion of all forms of defense cooperation, including the strengthening of military-economic ties.

Gasic and Hamlaoui agreed that the defense cooperation established so far primarily involves the military-economic forms of cooperation.

Fifteen years since death of 16 RTS employees

BELGRADE - April 23rd will mark 15 years since NATO's early- morning air strike on the Radio and Television of Serbia (RTS) which killed 16 of its employees.

Marking the anniversary on Wednesday, member of the Belgrade interim council Andrija Mladenovic will lay wreaths at the memorial “Why?" and pay respect to the victims, the city assembly announced.
