Bishop Irinej: No 'historic invitation' from Vatican
BELGRADE - Bishop Irinej of Backa, spokesperson for the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC), denied that Patriarch Irinej accepted an invitation to visit the Vatican, claiming that Bishop of Zrenjanin Ladislav Nemet fabricated the story based on the recent meeting between SPC leader and Archbishop of the Roman Catholic Church Dominique Francois Joseph Mamberti in Belgrade.
