Somalia Orders Top UN Envoy to Leave
Somalia's government has ordered the UN top envoy to the troubled country to leave, accusing him of "deliberately interfering with the country's sovereignty", AFP reported.
The order comes days after the official, Nicholas Haysom, raised concerns at the action of Somalia's UN-backed security services in recent violence that left several people dead.

Smugglers Pushing Refugees to Their Deaths at Sea
Smugglers were pushing migrants into the sea away from the mainland for fear of government boats, amid reinforced border controls, or to avoid encountering armed groups on shore in the war-torn country, the IOM said, according to The Independent.
They were then going back to Africa to pick up more migrants.

Between four and 20 people have been killed and many injured in a suicide bombing of a hotel in Somalia's capital Mogadishu, international news outlets reported on Friday.
Mogadishu's deputy mayor Mohamed Aden and a Somali member of parliament were among those killed, AP reported.
