The reform is highly unpopular but is key to Emmanuel Macron's program, and what he was elected upon as president. It was not voted through in parliament, but Macron pushed it through by decree, as the Constitution allows.

Spain's economy grew by 5.0 percent in 2021, showing a remarkable bounceback from a year earlier but below the government's target, an initial estimate by the National Statistics Institute (INE) showed on Jan. 28.

Spain reacted because of Kosovo - set a condition
According to the Spanish newspaper Periodico, since Spain does not recognize Kosovo, there will be no symbols of Kosovo, reports Ekonomija online.
As it was announced, Sanchez will travel to Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, tomorrow, to attend the meeting of the leaders of the European Union before the summit with the representatives of the Western Balkans.

Face Masks Mandatory on Spanish Beaches over This Summer
Anyone planning a holiday to Spain this summer will now have to wear a mask on the beach.
Spanish government tightened the rules on Tuesday, making it mandatory for all people aged six and over to wear face coverings 'on public streets'.
The new decree also makes it obligatory in 'outdoor spaces and in any closed space that has a public use or is open to the public'.
Spain Ready to Roll out Vaccination Passports in May, Welcomes Back Holidaymakers
Spain could be ready to start rolling out coronavirus vaccine 'passports' by the end of May, paving the way to welcome back holidaymakers. Minister of tourism, María Reyes Maroto, said on Wednesday that the country 'could be in a position to start implementing the digital passport in May'.
"We will create a register of people who refuse to be vaccinated"
However, the data will not be published in public, the Ministry of Health announced today.
Minister Salvador Illa stated that it is important for citizens to be vaccinated against coronavirus, although vaccination, which has started in many countries of the European Union (EU), is not mandatory.
