Serbian Police Neutralize Convicted Terrorist in Novi Pazar Operation
Serbian Interior Minister Ivica Dacic announced that the Serbian police shot and killed Senad Ramovic-Becan, a convicted terrorist, near Novi Pazar in the southwestern part of the country last night. Dacic revealed that during an attempt to arrest Ramovic, he resisted, opened fire on the police, and was subsequently eliminated by the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit.
Parliament committee to review wiretapping case amid opposition criticism
The Committee on Institutions and Transparency will meet Friday morning in Parliament to address concerns from opposition parties stemming from a recent Supreme Court ruling on the wiretapping case involving illegal spyware.
Acrimony as wiretapping case shelved
The decision on Tuesday by the Prosecutor's Office of the Supreme Court to shelve the complaints about the wiretapping case related to the National Intelligence Service (EYP), or any other state agency for that matter, caused a storm of reactions and acrimony between the government and opposition parties, who denounced it as a cover-up.

Multinational special forces exercise ends
The Orion 23 Special Forces - Special Operations Forces Exercise, which was held in parallel with Iniochos 23, was completed on Thursday with the participation of contingents from the US, France, Cyprus, Austria, Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Montenegro.

Greek Police Retires Seven Officers Over Surveillance Scandal

According to the Greek media outlet Kathimerini, the seven persons, two lieutenant generals and five major generals, served in critical positions such as the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit and the Attica Security department, the Internal Affairs Service and the Police Intelligence Division.
Lawyers charged with prison mafia collusion
A special appeals prosecutor has given two lawyers accused of participating in the so-called "mafia" operating at Korydallos maximum-security prison in Athens until Monday to prepare their defense.
The two attorneys are a 65-year-old man, who was the target of an attempted murder in 2004, and a 45-year-old woman.

Stefanovic, McCain attend joint anti-terror exercise
BELGRADE - Serbian Deputy PM and Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic attended with US Senator John McCain in Belgrade on Monday a joint exercise of the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit of the Serbian police, the United States Special Operations Command and the Special Units of the Slovenian Armed Forces.

MUP's Gendarmerie, meanwhile, will remain a separate formation.
