Court sends 20 members of "Traffic Mafia" to prison
BELGRADE -- The Special Court in Belgrade on Wednesday sentenced 20 members of the so-called "Traffic Mafia" to between five months and 7.5 years in prison.
They were accused and found guilty of causing "huge losses to insurance providers by defrauding them with false insurance claims."
Serbian Remands Alleged French Child Kidnappers
The Special Court in Belgrade on Monday ordered 30 days' custody for one man and two women, all holders of French passports, suspected of kidnapping the two-year-old girl in the Serbian capital on March 13.
The court argued that the alleged kidnappers could flee or influence witnesses.

BELGRADE -- The Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime has raised an indictment against former Serbian Telecommunications Minister Jasna Matic and her aides.
They are suspected of embezzling budget funds through frauds in the Serbia Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SIEPA).

BELGRADE - The Prosecutor's Office for Organised Crime has raised an indictment against former telecommunications minister Jasna Matic and her aides on suspicion of embezzling budget funds through frauds in the Serbia Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SIEPA).
Amended indictment for murder of Slavko Curuvija
BELGRADE - The Serbian Prosecutor's Office for Organised Crime raised a new, amended indictment against four members of the State Security Service (DB), therein charging the defendants with the murder of journalist and owner of Dnevni telegraf daily newspaper Slavko Curuvija in 1999, Prosecutor Miljko Radisavljevic told Tanjug.

BELGRADE - Businessman Stanko Subotic, former director of the Federal Customs Administration Mihalj Kertes and 13 other persons have been cleared of charges for cigarette smuggling in the course of 1995/96 at the Special Court in Belgrade on Friday.
Serbia Court Finds Subotic Not Guilty of Smuggling
Serbian businessman Stanko Subotic, Mihalj Kertes, a former director of the Federal Customs, and 13 others were acquitted on Friday before the Special Court in Belgrade of charges of smuggling cigarettes in the Nineties.
The prosecution may appeal the sentences to the Appellate Court in Belgrade.

BELGRADE -- Criminal Police Administration (UKP) chief Rodoljub Milović is on Wednesday taking a polygraph test, as announced by Interior Minister Nebojša Stefanović.
Stefanović added that he had formed a working group to investigate all allegations that Darko Šarić presented as part of his defense.
