PM highlights Middle East crisis, Euro-Turkish relations at European Council Summit

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis emphasized the importance of addressing the crisis in the Middle East during his participation in the Special European Council taking place in Brussels from Wednesday to Thursday. 

Over the two-day summit, EU leaders discuss economy and competitiveness issues, Ukraine, Türkiye, the Middle East and Lebanon.

PM in Brussels for talks on mid-term revision of EU’s long-term budget

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis is participating in the Special European Council taking place in Brussels on Thursday, where he will again support Greece's position in favor of a comprehensive approach to the mid-term revision of the EU Multiannual Financial Framework, with a package deal that includes aid to Ukraine but also increased funds for migration and responding to natural disasters.

President Iohannis: Climate change fight must be bearable for both national economies and citizens

President Klaus Iohannis, speaking today before the Special European Council meeting in Brussels, said that the fight against climate change must be fair for every EU member state, so that it is bearable both for the national economies and for each and every citizen. "A very important topic on the agenda of the debates at this Council meeting is related to climate change.
