Supreme Court intervenes over bear killings

Supreme Court deputy prosecutor Anastasia Masoura is supervising investigations to identify those who killed a bear and her two cubs in Western Macedonia. 

Their bodies were found between Plagia and Eptachori, at the 106th kilometer of the Ioannina-Kozani highway. 

Unknown assailants first shot the mother and then the two cubs.

Supreme Court prosecutor intervenes in case of attack on police

A Supreme Court prosecutor has ordered the public prosecutor in Piraeus to supervise the investigation into Thursday's attack by hooligans on police after a volleyball match.

Georgia Adilini described the incident, which took place outside the Melina Mercouri indoor stadium, as "a murderous attack on police officers."

The Supreme Court of Russia recognized the LGBT movement as extremist and banned its activities in the country, TASS reported, quoted by BTA.

The decision was taken at the request of the Ministry of Justice and is subject to immediate implementation.

Parliament votes to lift immunity of 11 extreme-right MPs

With an overwhelming majority, MPs have voted to lift the immunity of 11 parliamentarians from the extreme-right Spartans party over their alleged links to jailed neo-Nazi figure Ilias Kasidiaris.

The decision lifts the immunity of 11 of the 12 MPs elected with the Spartans in June 2013, one of whom has since declared himself to be an independent MP.
