Judith Barringer, classical archaeologist and professor of Greek art and archaeology at the University of Edinburgh, will gives a talk titled "The Workings of Treasuries in Greek Sanctuaries" at the Swedish Institute at Athens on Tuesday, December 17.

Vassilios Sabatakakis, a professor of Modern Greek Studies at Sweden's Lund University, will deliver a lecture at the Swedish Institute titled "People Are Very Polite, Enjoyable and Healthy, They Live Well and Have Fun," inspired by Swedish travelers' narratives from 18th century Greece. The lecture will be in English and starts at 7 p.m.

The Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) hosts a two-day tribute to Swedish auteur Ingmar Bergman this weekend, in cooperation with the Swedish Embassy in Greece.

The Astor and Andora cinemas are hosting a comprehensive tribute to Swedish film legend Ingmar Bergman, running from Thursday, April 19, to Sunday, April 22, in cooperation with the Swedish Institute at Athens and the Ingmar Bergman Foundation. The event is taking place to mark the centenary of the director's birth. Tribute screenings will be showing from 6 p.m.

BELGRADE - The month of Swedish culture in Belgrade opened by the exhibition of photographs entitled 'Razlicita odstojanja - izmedju modne fotografije i umetnosti' (Different distances - between fashion photography and art).
