The meeting started at mid-day and it was Mitsotakis’ initiative. It is planned to meet with all the leaders of the opposition except the leader of the Golden Dawn, Mr. Michaloliakos.
Early elections closer as 2nd review stalls
Both major political parties in Greece have alluded to early elections in light of the current conditions in Greece. SYRIZA released a statement on occasion of the government’s 2nd year anniversary in power on January 25, labelling its victory 2 years ago historic both for Greece and Europe as a whole.

ND: SYRIZA government targets free press
Major opposition party New Democracy released a statement blasting the SYRIZA coalition government for attempting to muffle dissenting voices in the Greek media. “The government is trying to shut down media by adopting anti-constitutional tactics”, the announcement read commenting on the recent moves by the government majority.
