SYRIZA’s Central Committee

Stefanos Kasselakis announced via a social media post that he is withdrawing the legal notice he had sent to the Central Committee and the Political Secretariat of SYRIZA.

Stefanos Kasselakis continues to uphold the legal notice he sent over the leak of his financial disclosure (πόθεν έσχες), despite pressures from within SYRIZA to retract it.

A political contribution text, calling for elections to elect a new leader of SYRIZA from the party members, was submitted shortly before the start of SYRIZA’s Central Committee meeting by the group of 87.

SYRIZA’s Central Committee meeting ended on Sunday with the adoption of a draft resolution with conclusions on crucial policy issues. The final draft, after a two-day meeting, included proposed amendments. It was also decided that the party’s congress would be held in mid-April.

In a letter made public 17 members of SYRIZA’s Central Committee have handed in their resignations accusing the party’s leadership of transforming into a ‘pro-austerity’ political group.
