Turkey-trained female Afghan cop gets senior post
In a first, a Turkish-trained Afghan female police officer has taken charge of an anti-crime branch in Afghanistan's remote Khost province.
The young Zala Zazai got training at Turkey's police academy before taking charge in the province, which has been plagued by the Taliban-led insurgency.

Bomb attack targeting police bus in Istanbul kills 11 people
A strong explosion on Tuesday morning in Istanbul, Turkey, killed seven police officers and four civilians, according to local officials.
The target was a bus transporting members of Turkey's police force, Turkish media said, adding that 36 more persons were injured in the blast in the Vezneciler district.
