HDP leader on surprise trip to Brussels, may see PKK seniors

The co-chair of Turkey's Kurdish issue-focused Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) is set to make an unscheduled trip to Brussels on Aug. 5, his party said, amid reports he will meet representatives of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).

Selahattin Demirta? of the HDP postponed his scheduled program in Ankara on Aug. 5, daily Hürriyet and AFP reported. 

Turkish sergeant reveals how he survived ISIL

Seven months ago, Turkish Sergeant Özgür Örs fell into the hands of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) during a confrontation at the border. He was locked in a room in Syria, only being released after he had passed an alcohol and prayer test. HDP accuses gov't of 'dragging Turkey into civil war'

The Turkish army?s ongoing military operations in Iraq and Syria to crack down on terrorists was engineered by the Justice and Development Party (AKP), whose objective to regain its one-party government is dragging Turkey into a ?civil war,? the leader of the Peoples? Democratic Party (HDP), Selahattin Demirta?, has claimed.
