Miner killed in accident in Kütahya

One miner was killed and another was wounded in an accident at a coal mine in the Tav?anl? district of Turkey?s Kütahya province on Sept. 2. 

A rock had fallen on the two workers at the mine, located in the village of Karakaya in Tav?anl?.

Mustafa Orhan, 42, was died at the scene while the injured Ramazan Mimta?, 41, was taken to the Dr. Mustafa Kalemli State Hospital.

Miner killed in landslide in Zonguldak

One miner was killed in an accident at a mine in the Black Sea province of Zonguldak on Aug. 11, after being trapped under a mine the previous day due to a landslide. 

Rescue workers found the miner's body under the debris after 11 hours of searching at the mine, which is operated by the state Turkish Coal Institute (TTK).

One killed in mine collapse in northern Turkey

A coal mine collapse in the Black Sea province of Zonguldak on March 10 has killed one miner and left two injured.

The accident took place 550 meters below ground level in a mine in Zonguldak's Ere?li district, operated by the state Turkish Coal Institute's (TKK) Armutçuk branch, after piles of coal collapsed during mining activities at about 4:00 a.m. on March 10.

Coal miner victims commemorated on 23th year of accident

The 263 miners who were killed in an accident in Black Sea province of Zonguldak 23 years ago were commemorated on March 3 by families and their colleagues who survived the incident.

An explosion in the Kozlu mine, operated by the state Turkish Coal Institute (TTK), claimed the lives of 263 miners on March 3, 1992, in one of the worst mine disasters in Turkey's history.
