Turkey's total oil imports rise over 24 pct in January
Turkey's oil imports rose 24.26 percent in January compared to the same month in 2016, Turkish Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) data showed on March 22.
The country's oil imports reached 2.3 million tons in January.
Turkey imports natural gas from US for first time
Turkey imported 83 million cubic meters of liquefied natural gas from the United States in January after the latter became an LNG exporter with its shale gas resources, state-run Anadolu Agency reported based on information from the Turkish Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK).

Natural gas consumption has been increasing continuously in Turkey due to the country?s developing economy, industry and increasing population.
