Russia raises tomato import quota from Türkiye
Russia has increased the quota of tomatoes to be imported from Türkiye by 150,000 tons, the local media have reported.
With a decree issued by the Russian Agriculture Ministry, the annual import quota has been raised from 350,000 tons to 500,000 tons.

Turkish Airlines helps companies boost exports

Under the deal, Turkish Airlines offers up to a 30 percent discount on cargo fees, which resulted in a 23 percent increase in export volume.

Chemicals shipments top $7 billion
Türkiye's chemicals industry generated a total of $7.4 billion in export revenues in the first three months of 2023.
This corresponded to 12.1 percent of the country's total export revenues in January-March, which stood at $61.6 billion.

Turkish Exporters' Assembly (TİM) President Mustafa Gültepe says the export revenue target this year has been set at $275 billion.
If exports had not slowed in the last three months of 2022, export revenues could have been much higher than $254 billion, Gültepe told Hürriyet.

Automotive sector to be hit by Ukraine crisis ‘indirectly’
The Turkish automotive sector could be affected indirectly by the Russia-Ukraine conflict because of rising costs, according to professionals.
Turkey's exports to Russia, which hit $705 million last year, is not expected to be affected so far, Baran Çelik, the head of the Automotive Exporters Association (OİB), told daily Hürriyet.
Finance minister holds meeting with exporters
Treasury and Finance Minister Nureddin Nebati on Feb. 21 met with delegations of Turkish exporters and automotive distributors.
"We have held an inclusive consultation meeting on our recent policies and actual topics, particularly Turkey Economy Model focused on investments, production, exports and employment," Nebati said in a tweet.
