Ukraine is enduring yet another missile assault from Russia following a series of deadly strikes in recent days. The latest wave of attacks includes Russian cruise missiles and drones flying over various regions, from the easternmost areas to Lviv in the West.

Russian aviation targeted a 12-story apartment building in Kharkiv, resulting in the death of a child and three others after the building caught fire, according to the city's mayor, Igor Terekhov. The attack left at least 28 people injured.

Ukraine said Sunday it had struck a second key bridge in the Kursk region, seeking to disrupt Moscow's supply routes as Kiev's unprecedented incursion on Russian soil stretched into its second week.

The Russian Defense Ministry announced that its air defense systems destroyed 12 drones over the Kursk region, which Ukraine attacked a week ago, claiming to have controlled an area of 1,000 square kilometers as of Monday.

According to the ministry, one drone was also destroyed over the Voronezh region and another over the Belgorod region.

Russian forces have reportedly taken control of the town of Lozovatsky in the so-called Donetsk People's Republic in eastern Ukraine, according to the Russian Defense Ministry. They also claim to have defeated six brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in several settlements in the region. Kyiv has yet to comment on these allegations.

Russian missiles struck Kyiv on Monday, hitting a children's hospital and killing at least three people elsewhere in the city. Another attack in Kryvyi Rih in central Ukraine resulted in at least ten deaths. This was the most significant bombardment of Kyiv in several months.
