Union of Centrists MP quits, stripping party of parliamentary group status
Centrists Union MP Giannis Saridis resigned on Thursday to become an independent after a long disagreement with the party over policy, stripping the party of its status as a parliamentary group.
The lawmaker announced his decision in a letter to Parliament President Nikos Voutsis.
New poll puts ND lead at 6.3 pct versus SYRIZA
Main opposition New Democracy is 6.3 percentage points ahead of ruling SYRIZA, according to an opinion poll carried out by ALCO for broadcaster Open and published on Monday.
The poll found that ND would garner 29.9 percent of the vote if snap polls were held now compared to 23.6 percent for SYRIZA, with socialist KINAL and neo-Nazi Golden Dawn both coming in third with 5.7 percent.

Main debate on debt settlement bill starts Monday afternoon
A bill outlining a new scheme for the settlement of debts to the state, social security funds and local authorities in up to 120 instalments will be introduced to the main Parliament chamber on Monday afternoon.
During its debate in the Parliament's committees, the government and the opposition agreed to fast-track the procedure, which means the bill will be voted on on Tuesday.

SYRIZA trailing ND by 14.5 points, poll shows
SYRIZA is trailing New Democracy by 14.5 percentage points, according to a new survey carried out by Public Issue which was released Wednesday.
According to the survey, which was carried out from 1 to 14 February, 39 percent of respondents said they would vote for the conservative opposition compared to 24.5 percent for the incumbent leftists.

ANEL leader announces ejection of party MP, lashes out at Tsipras
