Political parties exchange Eid al-Adha greetings

Political parties in Türkiye marked Eid al-Adha with a series of congratulatory visits on June 17, signaling a renewed push for dialogue in Turkish politics.

The celebrations kicked off with a meeting between the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) and the main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) on the second day of Eid.

AKP delegation meets İYİ Party's new leader

A ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) delegation, including the party's parliamentary leaders, visited the İYİ (Good) Party's new leader, Müsavat Dervişoğlu, on May 30.

The AKP delegation was led by Abdullah Güler, Özlem Zengin, Bahadır Yenişehirlioğlu, Abdulhamit Gül and Muhammet Emin Akaşoğlu, and included the party's deputy leader, Mustafa Elitaş.

Massive rally held in Istanbul to support Palestine

The ruling Justice and Development Party's (AKP) organized a large rally in solidarity with Palestine, on Oct. 28 at Atatürk Airport.

The rally aimed to draw attention to what the organizers have described as "Israeli brutality" in the region.

President and AKP leader Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended the rally.

Parliamentary results expected on May 30

The final results of the parliamentary elections held on May 14 will be announced on May 30 at the latest, according to Supreme Election Council (YSK) head Ahmet Yener.

"The appeal files that have reached the [Supreme Election] council will be discussed today, and depending on their fate, the parliamentary results will be known today or tomorrow," YSK head Ahmet Yener said on May 29.
