The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) expresses its confidence in continuing diplomatic efforts so as to achieve "real progress and the final, comprehensive and lasting settlement of the Iranian nuclear file," reads a MAE press release for AGERPRES.

Romania President Slates Call to Move Embassy to Jerusalem

Romania's President Klaus Iohannis on Friday condemned the Social Democrat-led government for suggesting that Romania might transfer the country's embassy in Israel to Jerusalem.

Social Democratic Party leader Liviu Dragnea told a talk show on Thursday that the government had begun the formalities to move the embassy to Jerusalem in line with US earlier decision to do so.

Athens US Embassy building renovation begins

The project of renovating the building of the US Embassy in Athens, on Vassilissis Sofias Avenue, is underway, the embassy announced on Tuesday.

The US administration has contracted US-based Caddell Construction company to renovate and rehabilitate the historic "Chancery" building, designed by Walter Gropius, and inaugurated on July 4, 1961.

Vucic schedules meeting of Council for National Security

According to unofficial information, one of the topics will be the issue of Kosovo and Metohija.

The meeting will reportedly be held on Tuesday.

Vucic last week spoke about this problem with the UN secretary-general and representatives of the US administration, and held a meeting in Brussels with EU foreign policy chief and Kosovo President Hashim Thaci.
