The White House has revealed that Western Balkans is among the six priorities of the new US administration. This means that Serbia must be ready for new challenges, primarily pertaining to the Kosovo issue, writes Sputnik.

"I've worked with Joe Biden before, and I know he's a unifier. In his inaugural speech he touched upon the important themes - love, hope, optimism - that's exactly what America exemplifies," said U.S. Ambassador to Bulgaria H.E. Herro Mustafa in an interview with the Bulgarian National Radio after President Joe Biden assumed office officially.

Apart from the deep rift in the society that will need a long time to bridge finding adequate solutions, another big challenge is the coronavirus pandemic. So the Bulgarian Ambassador to the US Tihomir Stoytchev described the challenges before the new US administration in an interview for Nova TV.   

Greece's Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias congratulated the new US administration on Thursday, saying he looks forward to working with President Joe Biden and Secretary of State nominee Antony Blinken.

Helsinki, 14 January – Foreign Minister Anže Logar paid a working visit to Finland on Thursday to meet his Finnish counterpart Pekka Haavisto and Europe Minister Tytti Tuppurainen. He was also received by President Sauli Niinisto. Logar presented the priorities of Slovenia’s EU presidency in the second half of the year.
