World Petroleum Council

Istanbul's governmental press service reports that today Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov joined the work of the 22nd World Petroleum Congress, following an invitation of Turkish President Recep Erdogan, according to Nova TV.

The 22nd World Petroleum Congress (WPC), the largest meeting of the oil and gas industry, opened in Istanbul on July 9.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, World Petroleum Council President Jozsef Laszlo Toth said the challenges in the petroleum sector had been growing as the world population is increasing and economic development has brought a large number of consumers to the market.

Bulgaria's Prime Minister Boyko Borisov will participate in the 22nd World Petroleum Congress in Istanbul on July 10th. This was reported by the Government Information Service. The Bulgarian Prime Minister will attend the event at the invitation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson will be honored with the highest recognition of the World Petroleum Council (WPC), the Dewhurst Award, for his "outstanding contribution to the oil and gas industry," the WPC announced in a statement late on June 21. 

U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson will visit Turkey to attend the 22nd World Petroleum Congress (WPC), which will take place in Istanbul between July 9 and 13, according to the statement released by the World Petroleum Council on June 9.        

The council stated that during the Congress, Tillerson would receive the highest honor from the World Petroleum Council.

BELGRADE - A delegation of the Nation Petroleum Committee of Serbia (NNKS) will attend the 21st World Petroleum Congress in Moscow June 15-19, which is entitled Responsibly Energising a Growing World, the NNKS has stated.
