Turkish federation orders five-game ban for violence against Amedspor
The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has ordered Ankaragücü to play five games without spectators following an attack by the club's managers and VIP guests on Amedspor officials last week as a legal investigation into the violence continues.
Third-tier Ankaragücü was fined 25,000 Turkish Liras, while the attackers were also barred from entering the stadium for 90 days.
Fallen police officers laid to rest
Three police officers who were killed in attacks by outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants over the weekend in southeastern Turkey have been laid to rest.
Soner Y?ld?r?m, 24, a police officer killed by PKK militants on Sept. 13 in southeastern ??rnak province, was laid to rest in the Black Sea province of Trabzon on Sept. 14.

Two detained over Fenerbahçe bus attack
Two suspects were detained early April 7 over an armed attack on Fenerbahçe?s team bus, Trabzon?s governor has announced.
Trabzon Gov. Abdil Celil Öz said the suspects, N.S. and E.A., were apprehended in the Sürmene district of Trabzon.

Avalanche kills one worker as heavy snow hits Turkey
At least one worker died and four others went missing in an avalanche in Turkey's northeastern Trabzon province on Jan. 10.
The avalanche hit a hydroelectric power plant in Çaykara district, local official Mustafa Gül told Anadolu Agency.
