Four HDP lawmakers detained
Four lawmakers from the opposition Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) were detained on Jan. 25, including Diyarbakır MP İmam Taşçıer, Sanlıurfa MP Osman Baydemir, Iğdır MP Mehmet Emin Adıyaman and Muş MP Ahmet Yıldırım.

HDP to submit own constitutional draft
The opposition Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) will release its own constitutional draft in the following days as the ruling Justice and Development Party's (AKP) constitutional offer was prepared without the full consent of HDP lawmakers, the party's group deputy chair, Ahmet Yıldırım, has said.

Turkish Parliament speaker meets parties after punches fly at General Assembly
Parliament Speaker İsmail Kahraman brought together the group deputy chairpersons of all parties at Turkey's parliament on Dec. 13, after fists flew once again at the General Assembly on Dec. 12.
Along with the heightened tension at parliament meetings, jailed deputies were also on the agenda of the meeting, state-run Anadolu Agency reported.
Two HDP deputies detained over alleged terror links
Ankara police detained two lawmakers from the Kurdish issue-focused Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) as part of an anti-terror probe on Dec. 13.
The HDP's Diyarbakır deputy and parliamentary group deputy chair, Çağlar Demirel, and its Siirt deputy, Besime Konca, were detained in relation to an ongoing probe in Diyarbakır and Batman. Konca was later released under judicial control.
Slain Diyarbakır bar head Elçi remembered on anniversary of murder
Tahir Elçi, the Diyarbakır Bar Association head who was killed in an armed clash in November 2015 in Diyarbakır, was remembered on the anniversary of his murder in Istanbul and the southeastern province of Diyarbakır.
Opposition HDP co-chairs, lawmakers detained in police raids
Figen Yüksekdağ and Selahattin Demirtaş, the co-leaders of the opposition Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), and 10 lawmakers from the party were detained early on Nov. 4 in a move that threatens further instability for the country.
Subpoenas issued for eight HDP lawmakers
Subpoenas were issued for eight lawmakers from the opposition Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) over the Kurdish Communities Union (KCK) case in the southeastern province of Diyarbakır on Sept. 5. HDP group deputy chairman Çağlar Demirel was among the ones that a subpoena was issued for by the Diyarbakır Second Heavy Penal Court, Anadolu Agency reported.
