Russia ready to increase gas supplies to Turkey: Russian Minister
Russia is ready to scale up natural gas supplies to Turkey, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak said on Dec. 28 in an interview with Rossiya 24 TV Channel.
"Russia has gas. Russian gas is fairly cheap. We have relevant infrastructure and we are definitely ready to supply and increase gas supplies [to Turkey]," the minister said, as quoted by TASS News Agency.
Turkish Stream Can Be Renewed If Turkey Interested - Russian Energy Min
Talks over Turkish Stream have not been renewed yet, but the project has the right to existence if Ankara is interested, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak has pointed out.
Novak has asserted in a TV interview that Moscow is ready to deliver and increase the amounts of gas to the country and has added that Russia-Turkey cooperation has to continue.
Turkish Stream Pipeline Suspended, Russia Confirms

Russia doesn't consider the construction in Bulgaria of a gas hub or a branch of the planned Turkish Stream pipeline, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak has said.

The Turkish Stream pipeline replaces the cancelled South Stream project to carry Russian gas to Europe and Turkey via the Black Sea. At the moment, Europe gets a lot of its gas from Russia through Ukraine.
